I don’t wear foundation, meaning I need my concealer to really pull its weight. And I’m picky. Even though I don’t like heavy coverage and want my skin to look natural underneath a layer of product, I still want a concealer that will help even out my complexion. The newest product that I’ve found that does all of that and more is the Saie Slip Tint Radiant All-Over Concealer ($28). Saie has been working on this product for a few years, and the final result was well worth the wait.

The brand already carries a range of complexion products, from a foundation to its cult-favorite and editor-loved Glowy Super Gel, but Saie’s only existing concealer is really more of an eye brightener. This new product can be used all over the face to brighten, cover, and blur.

  • The formula contains niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and glycerin to hydrate and brighten.

What I Like About the Saie Slip Tint Radiant Concealer

The Saie Slip Tint Radiant All-Over Concealer is a minimal makeup lover’s dream. It has a creamy finish that blends seamlessly onto my skin. Though the brand says the coverage is medium, I’d characterize it as more light to medium; one coat offers a lighter coverage, but it’s buildable, so you can work your way up to medium.

The brand carries 25 shades, with options for all undertones, from neutral to peach to cool. I use a combination of two colors: shade 2, described as “very light with peach undertones,” to brighten under my eyes, and shade 5, “light with peach undertones,” for traditional concealing. (Though if I were only to buy one product, I would likely go with shade 5, because it’s a better match for my entire face.)

It leaves my skin with a hydrated, dewy appearance, likely thanks to its skin-care-forward ingredients. Hyaluronic acid and glycerin boost the skin’s moisture levels, while niacinamide helps brighten and smooth. I don’t have to worry about it clogging pores, because it’s noncomedogenic.

Immediately after applying it, my skin looks glowy, plump, and even. By the end of the day, the coverage is still there, and it only settles marginally into creases, as most concealers do.

How to Use the Saie Slip Tint Radiant Concealer

I change how I apply it depending on how I’m feeling that day. I start by applying concealer to my face using the doe-foot applicator. I focus the pigment under my eyes, between my eyebrows, around my nose, and on any spots on my chin. Then I let it dry for a minute while I do something else in my routine (like applying my contour) to help it set. I learned this hack from a makeup artist years ago, allowing me to use far less product.

To blend, I sometimes use a fluffy brush in swirling and dabbing motions; this helps me achieve more opaque coverage. If I want a really light and natural no-makeup makeup look, I’ll use a damp makeup sponge to blend, which sheers out the formula.

What to Consider Before Trying the Saie Slip Tint Radiant Concealer

Though I love it when my makeup looks so radiant that my face is borderline reflective, the finish on the Saie Slip Tint Radiant All-Over Concealer is very hydrating and dewy, meaning it can leave certain areas of your face looking a little shiny. If you’d prefer to tone it down a bit in your T-zone (or anywhere else on your face), I’d recommend using a setting powder.
